9 Years …

WOW I can’t believe its been 9 years today (in the states, it was yesterday for me here in Oz) since I graduated high school!! The time has seemed to fly by, but then at the same token I can’t believe its only been 9 years, it seems like a life time since I was sitting in the “triangle” during passing time. So much has happened since I graduated. I found this list awhile back of what I wanted to accomplish before my ten year reunion, I called it my “Ten before Ten” and I reckon I have surpassed my goals (well except a few ). Check it out:

Graduate College
Have a Great Job
Get Married
Have Kids
Travel Lots
Stay In Touch With My Friends
Make New Friends
Buy a House
Be Debt Free
Be Happy With My Life The Way It Is

Now some of these I haven’t accomplished yet; kids and a house. But in the other areas I have surpassed it!! I have traveled way more then I thought, I mean I even live in a different country!! I have made many new friends that are friends for life and I feel so truly blessed to have them in my life. I have stayed in contact with my closest friends that I graduated with (check out the pictures below of us over the last nine years). I did graduate college with honors and one of the top ten student teachers of Central Washington’s graduating class of 2008. I am happily married to a wonderful and loving husband (even though he graduated from Puyallup and Western Washington University, both my rivals in school, I still love him dearly). We are happily debt free and it feels wonderful!! I did have my dream job for a couple of years before we moved and couldn’t have been happier. Though I am unemployed at the moment, I know its just for a short time and I will be back at teaching and loving it!! And lastly I couldn’t be happier with my life right now. I know its not my ten year reunion yet and I have one more year before that day but I have to say I am impressed so many of my goals are marked off and I couldn’t be happier.
